2026-06-13

Agnieszka Pomaska participated in a meeting of the Pomeranian Parliamentary Group held at Remontowa Holding Shipyard. The discussion focused on key projects currently being implemented by the Polish shipbuilding industry and their significance for national security and the development of the maritime economy.

During the meeting, participants reviewed progress on the DELFIN programme, under which advanced signals intelligence vessels are being constructed for the Polish Navy. Discussions also covered the KORMORAN II programme, which includes the construction of additional mine countermeasure vessels aimed at enhancing security in the Baltic Sea region.

Among the strategic investments highlighted was the HYDROGRAF programme. Remontowa Shipbuilding in Gdańsk is currently building two state-of-the-art hydrographic vessels with a total value of approximately PLN 1.5 billion. The project is being implemented with the support of the European SAFE programme.

Participants also discussed the ferry construction programme for Polish operators. Following the delivery of the first vessel, Jantar Unity, work is underway on a second modern dual-fuel ferry designed to strengthen Poland’s maritime transport capacity.

Representatives of the shipyard emphasized the breadth of cooperation with international partners, encompassing the construction of ferries, offshore support vessels, tugboats, fishing vessels, and specialized naval units. In addition, Remontowa’s repair and maintenance facilities service up to 200 vessels annually.

The meeting provided an opportunity to address the challenges facing the sector and to highlight the growing role of the Polish shipbuilding industry, which continues to strengthen its position both in the domestic market and on the international stage.
