National Energy Summit in Gdańsk

2026-05-26

The National Energy Summit is taking place at the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk, bringing together discussions on the most pressing challenges related to energy security, the transformation of the energy sector, and strategic infrastructure investments.

During the debate, Agnieszka Pomaska recalled that already a year earlier she had emphasized the importance of locating the headquarters of two key companies responsible for strategic energy projects Orlen Neptun and Polish Nuclear Power Plants (Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe) in Gdańsk. Today, both decisions have been implemented, further strengthening the role of the Pomerania region as one of the leading centers of Poland’s energy transformation.

The presence of these companies in the region enables strategic investments to be carried out more efficiently and in closer proximity to locations that play a crucial role in the development of Poland’s energy sector, including offshore wind energy and nuclear power.

During the summit, Agnieszka Pomaska also spoke about the importance of the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which will take place in Gdańsk on 25-26 June. One of the key components of the event will be the Energy Platform, bringing together representatives of governments, financial institutions, the energy sector, and investors.

The discussions held within the framework of the platform will focus on Ukraine’s energy transformation and the integration of the Ukrainian energy system with the European energy market. The talks are expected to concentrate on four principal areas: energy resilience and security, Ukraine’s new energy strategy, public-private cooperation in building a decentralized energy system, and the mobilization of investment alongside the development of the energy market.
