The International Institute of Civil Society organized the “Security and Response to the Russian Federation in the Baltic Sea” forum in Warsaw. The event was attended by Agnieszka Pomaska and Katarzyna Królak.
During the panel dedicated to the security of the Baltic Sea region, concrete threats associated with the activities of the Russian Federation were discussed. Among the issues addressed were hybrid operations, the use of the so-called “shadow fleet,” as well as the risks of escalation of tensions in the region.
The discussion emphasized that these are challenges faced on a daily basis by the countries of the region, including Poland. Attention was also drawn to the importance of international cooperation, the exchange of experience, and the strengthening of state resilience to contemporary threats.
Participants of the forum were unanimous in their view that the security of the Baltic Sea is of critical importance to the stability of Europe as a whole.
