On Monday (7 October), Chairwoman of the Sejm Committee for European Union Affairs Agnieszka Pomaska met with the Chairpersons of the EU Affairs Committees of the NB8 countries (Baltic and Nordic Countries) in the NB8 + 2 format (Poland and Germany in addition).
The topics of the meeting included regional cooperation and Poland’s involvement in the NB8 format.
– The Nordic and Baltic states are among our closest allies – especially in the context of security, including energy security or defence of the eastern border of NATO and the EU. It is the Nordic and Baltic states that have supported Poland in securing concrete aid for Ukraine without delay. It is the Northern countries that are in the front line with Poland in supporting concrete packages of sanctions against Russia and Belarus, sounding the alarm on hybrid attacks on our borders or working to prevent disinformation – commented MP Pomaska.
