MP Agnieszka Pomaska will take part in of the Joint Parliamentary Meeting (JPM) that will take place on Monday 5 December, at the European Parliament in Brussels, starting at 15.00 hrs. The topic of the meeting is 'Social Cohesion and Demographic Development in a Sustainable Europe’.
The EPP Group will hold a preparatory meeting at 14.00 hrs (Room 6Q1) for an exchange of views between EPP National and European Parliamentarians on the JPM. The meeting will be co-chaired by Danuta Hübner MEP, Chairwoman of the Committee on Regional Development in the European Parliament, and Edmund Wittbrodt, Chairman of the EU Affairs Committee of the Senate of the Republic of Poland.
Sidonia Elżbieta Jędrzejewska MEP, Member of the Budgets Committee of the European Parliament and Rapporteur on the EU Budget for 2011, will give the welcome speech.
The discussion will be focused on:
Economic and Budgetary Impact of the Demographic Change: introduction by Marek Ziółkowski, Chairman of the National Economy Committee of the Senate of the Republic of Poland;
Social Cohesion and Regional Development: introduction by Danuta Hübner MEP, Chairwoman of the Committee on Regional Development in the European Parliament;
Social and Equality Aspects of Employment and Demographic Trends: introduction by Edit Bauer MEP, EPP Group Coordinator in the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality of the European Parliament.
