2025-10-22

A special celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the Polish School named after the 7th Kościuszko Squadrontook place at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Chicago. It is one of the oldest and most distinguished Polish schools operating in the United States.
The event was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Monika Wielichowska, Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka, and MP Agnieszka Pomaska.

The anniversary ceremony was filled with heartfelt emotions and a sense of community. There were performances by students, recollections shared by alumni, and a symbolic sealing of a time capsule with messages for future generations of the Polish diaspora in the United States.

For half a century, the 7th Kościuszko Squadron Polish School has been educating generations of Polish-American children, teaching them the language, history, and love for Poland. Its mission remains a cornerstone in preserving Polish identity and culture beyond the borders of the homeland.

Participants emphasized that the jubilee was not only a time for celebration but also a moment of reflection on the importance of Polish community education and the enduring bonds between Poland and its diaspora.
