Agnieszka Pomaska met with Anton Hofreiter, Chair of the Committee on European Union Affairs in the German Bundestag. The discussion focused on Polish-German cooperation in the context of European security and the challenges arising from the current geopolitical situation.
The importance of a shared understanding of security issues in Europe was emphasized, alongside the need to further strengthen cooperation among the Member States of the European Union.
The meeting also addressed preparations for the upcoming NB8+2 meeting format (Nordic-Baltic countries plus Poland and Germany), scheduled to take place in Gdańsk in mid-June. The main topics of discussion will include energy cooperation and security in the Baltic Sea region, including challenges related to the so-called “shadow fleet.”
Attention was drawn to the importance of regular dialogue and the building of stronger alliances in response to contemporary international challenges.
