On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, an exceptional meeting was held with the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, with the participation of Agnieszka Pomaska. The discussion focused on the current security situation in the region and the challenges Moldova is facing today.
Moldova is a target of intensive Russian hybrid warfare—conducted on an exceptional scale and across multiple dimensions: vote-buying during elections, illegal financing of political parties, support the formation of new anti-EU political parties, paid protests organized by networks linked to the Kremlin, financial transfers—especially using cryptocurrencies—to destabilize the political scene, violations of airspace, stoking tensions in Gagauzia, manipulating gas supplies The objective is clear: to halt Moldova’s pro-European course and weaken Western unity.
Despite significant external pressure, the authorities in Chișinău continue to pursue a pro-European path with determination. However, this requires real and sustained support from European partners. A strong, democratic, and European Moldova is not only a matter of solidarity—it is a crucial element of security for the whole of Europe, including Poland.
Supporting Moldova is an investment in the stability of our region and in the unity of the transatlantic community.
