The 7th anniversary of the Smolensk disaster

2017-04-100

96 people – among them the President of the Republic of Poland and his wife, ministers of the Presidential Chancellery, generals of the Polish Army, deputies, senators, and also the Tu-154M crew – died on April 10, 2010 in the Smolensk catastrophe. Today marks the seventh anniversary of this tragic event.

The delegation went to celebrate the anniversary of the Katyn Massacre and included representatives of all political options – and all of them were affected by the catastrophe. For the entire Civic Platform, the loss of people connected with it was particularly bad: the deputy speaker of the Senate of Krystyna Bochenek, the deputies of Sebastian Karpiniuk, Grzegorz Dolniak and Arkadiusz Rybicki, and also no longer in charge of the Civic Platform, but with great contribution to it as its co-founder Maciej Płażyński.

The families of all victims like the year we offer the sincerest words of compassion. On this day we are at the graves of our loved ones and friends who died in this tragic catastrophe.
