Agnieszka Pomaska was born January 8, 1980 in Gdynia. She is a center-right politician, member of the Polish parliament (Civic Platform) and the former vice-chairman of Gdansk City Council.
During her student years she was very successful in sailing having won Sailing Class Optimist in Poland Championships (1994), and being the world second vice-champion of Olympic Class Mistral (1998) and the champion of Windsurfing Freestyle in Poland (2000).
In 2007 Agnieszka Pomaska run for the national parliamentary elections gaining 9495 votes. As the amount was insufficient at the beginning, she became MP on June 24, 2009 replacing Jaroslaw Walesa who was elected a member of the EP.
