During the fifth edition of Campus Polska Przyszłości, MP Agnieszka Pomaska took part in the debate “EU Climate Policy – Facts and Myths.”
During the discussion, she highlighted the need to approach climate policy based on facts rather than fear and political slogans. Key issues included energy security, energy prices, and the competitiveness of the European economy.
Agnieszka Pomaska also stressed that the transition must be well planned and fair, taking into account the capabilities and circumstances of both individuals and businesses. At the same time, abandoning the transition would not make the challenges associated with climate change or dependence on imported fossil fuels disappear.
The debate provided an opportunity to discuss how the transition can be carried out in a way that benefits both Poland and Europe. As highlighted during the discussion, we need fewer myths, more facts, and an honest debate, because failing to act today could prove far more costly in the future.
