Agnieszka Pomaska visits Canadian Destroyer HMCS Haida

27.09.2026

MP Agnieszka Pomaska visited the Canadian destroyer HMCS Haida, a historic counterpart of the Polish warship ORP Błyskawica.

Commissioned in 1943, Haida saw action during the Second World War, including operations associated with the Allied landings in Normandy. She later served during the Korean War and the Cold War.

Today, HMCS Haida is the last surviving Tribal-class destroyer in the world and an important part of Canada’s maritime heritage.
