A meeting of the chairs of the European Union Affairs Committees of the parliaments of the Nordic and Baltic countries, Poland and Germany was held in Kaunas. The meeting was attended by Member of Parliament Agnieszka Pomaska.
The discussions focused on European security and the challenges facing the countries of the region. Participants highlighted the threats posed by Russia and the need to strengthen European unity, resilience and cooperation.
The countries of the region share a common understanding of the threats they face and the need for a determined response based on cooperation, strength and solidarity. It is also important to raise awareness of the region’s security concerns at the European level and to build a broader understanding of our common challenges among partners from other parts of Europe.
