Agnieszka Pomaska met with Ontario Premier Doug Ford to discuss energy security, critical minerals, and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Canada, Poland and the countries of our region.
Ontario has enormous potential in nuclear energy and significant reserves of critical minerals, including nickel, copper, cobalt, lithium and graphite. Access to these resources, along with the development of independent energy sources, is increasingly important for security and economic resilience.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss further opportunities for cooperation between Ontario, Poland and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in the areas of energy, critical minerals and the economy.
As a memento of the meeting, Agnieszka Pomaska presented Premier Doug Ford with amber cufflinks from Gdańsk.
