February 4th, the parliament held meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps. The meeting was also attended by, among others, Marshal of the Sejm Radosław Sikorski, Sejm Deputy Marshals Eugeniusz Grzeszczak and Jerzy Marek Kuchciński Wenderlich and Chair of the Parliamentary Committee of European Union Agnieszka Pomaska.
Marshal of the Parliament by the representatives of the diplomatic corps, wished good and satisfaction with their mission. He pointed out the challenges facing the international community in 2015. He also stressed the role of Parliament in the implementation of foreign policy and strengthening the Polish position on the international arena. He pointed out that international activity in the work of the members of the Bureau of parliamentary committees and bilateral groups operating in the European Union, in the framework of regional cooperation and international organizations.
The meeting was attended by the dean of the diplomatic corps, Archbishop Celestino Migliore. Apostolic Nuncio to Poland by Marshal Radosław Sikorski, the members of the Presidium of the Sejm and all representatives of the Chamber sincere New Year’s greetings.
The ceremony included a performance by the University of Warsaw Boys Choir Music.
