On 19 January, the World Economic Forum began in the Swiss town of Davos—one of the most important events in the global political and economic debate. This year, Poland is marking its presence more strongly than ever by organizing the prestigious “Leaders Forum powered by Poland,” which will take place at a representative venue on Davos’s main promenade.
The event, prepared by the Centre for International Relations, THINKTANK, and partners, brings together leading politicians, experts, and business leaders from around the world. The goal of the forum is to strengthen Poland’s voice in international discussions and to jointly seek answers to the most pressing challenges of our time—from geopolitics and transatlantic relations to the future of the labor market and new technologies.
Among the Polish participants in the debates are Radosław Sikorski, Andrzej Domański, Miłosz Motyka, Wojciech Balczun, as well as deputy ministers Rafał Rosiński, Aleksandra Gajewska, and Konrad Gołota.
The debates will also feature Agnieszka Pomaska, Chair of the Polish Parliament’s Committee on European Union Affairs. Pomaska is taking part in the “Leaders Forum powered by Poland” in Davos as a representative of the Polish parliament, contributing to discussions on the future of Europe and the role of the EU in a changing global order.
The forum will also welcome distinguished international guests, including Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the OECD; Andrius Kubilius, EU Commissioner for Defence and Space; Svetlana Cichanouska, leader of the Belarusian opposition; and Josef Aschbacher, Director General of the European Space Agency. The world of finance will be represented, among others, by Thomas Moser.
The debates will be moderated by renowned journalists and commentators, including Gerard Baker, Jamil Anderlini, Matthew Kaminski, and Siddhant Sibbal.
The program of the “Leaders Forum powered by Poland” focuses on the key challenges of the coming decade: global geopolitical tensions, relations with the United States, energy security, digital transformation, and the future of work. The organizers emphasize that the ambition of the event is not only to promote the Polish perspective, but also to exert a real influence on the international debate taking place in Davos.
